PIGMENTATION

Pigmentation affects so many people for a variety of reasons. If the cause can be established and eliminated e.g. Pregnancy, the pill or dehydrating alcohol based cosmetic products stopped, then one has a chance of removing the problem.
Skins prone to pigmentation must be extremely careful when considering certain treatments such as laser or certain deep peels. These can exacerbate an already distressing problem.

OPTION A - The RegimA 'Peel and Heal'

Is a clinical treatment proven to be safe and effective for treating pigmentation. It is necessary in certain skin types especially olive or darker skins to work conservatively with a series of lighter 'Peel and Heal' treatments, gradually building up the length of time the peel is left on and the strength of the RetinolIt stimulates enzyme activities, collagen synthesis, restores UV damaged skin, protects against free radicals, improves elasticity , texture and the vitality of the skin. and AHA's from 20% to 40% to 70%.
The main ingredient used to help combat and control pigmentation is L-Ascorbic Acid, which is the most active form of Vitamin C.
This option is effective on any skin colour.

OPTION B - Skin Rejuvenation - IPLIntense Pulse Light

Most people would like to keep a young and fresh look forever, however this is not easy as our skin ages due to excessive sun exposure and the decreased production of collagen. Photo Rejuvenation treatment with Ellipse helps you keep a younger and fresher look.

The safe, visible light emitted from the Ellipse flash lamp removes age spots and visible blood vessels, stimulating collagen and improving the texture of the skin. An excellent treatment for diffuse redness and uneven pigmentation.

This option is best suited to skin types I & II.

How the Ellipse Treatment works:

The flash-lamp in the Ellipse system produces light that is filtered in two ways to ensure that only light with the correct wavelenghts are emitted. Age spots contain melanin and blood vessels contain haemoglobin. When cells containing a lot of melanin or haemoglobin are hit with the right type of light, they heat up and are destroyed within a few thousandths of one second.

The safety and effectiveness of the treatment:

Clinical trials carried out by leading doctors have been documented and published in medical journals and treatment setting has been based on these clinical trails. Scientific papers can be viewed on the Ellipse website at www.ellipse.org.
